ALFRED BROWN BLUE TWO-PIECE SUIT

A NAVY SUIT UNDERSTATED AND ELEGANT

This Alfred Brown two-piece woollen suit is designed for the man who wants a centrepiece around which everything else can be built. Its dark navy Yorkshire wool, which is both dense and breathable, makes it the ideal foundation for your October wardrobe – from your first meeting in the morning to your last appointment in the evening – without ever having to change.

In summary,

This suit combines the craftsmanship of Yorkshire clothier Alfred Brown with a understated style all of its own. Its dark navy 340 g/m² fabric offers a sharp, structured silhouette, whilst the notched lapel jacket and rounded patch pockets lend an artisanal touch that shines through in the details. The trousers, with their outseam pleats and turn-ups, complete the look with ease. It’s a suit that’s perfect for every day in October, from the office to dinner.

The costume as a whole

The fabric

The Alfred Brown 100% dark navy wool fabric, 340 g/m², is a fabric with real character: dense enough to withstand the temperatures of early autumn, yet breathable so it doesn’t feel heavy indoors. Woven in Yorkshire by one of England’s leading clothiers, it improves with age and withstands frequent wear without ever losing its shape. A four-season fabric that really comes into its own from October onwards.

The jacket

A two-button jacket with an 8.5 cm straight lapel and slightly rounded patch pockets. The dark brown horn buttons provide an elegant and understated finish. It can be worn as part of a full suit or on its own for a more casual look.

The Trousers

The single outseam pleat elongates the leg and gives structure to the silhouette without making it stiff. The 5.5 cm turn-up neatly finishes the hem and allows the tobacco-coloured Chukka boots to take centre stage. The couture-style front pockets maintain a clean line across the hips. These trousers can be worn just as easily with a suit jacket as with a safari jacket on days when you’re on the move.

A few details,

The English shoulder

The Milanese shoulder on this jacket has a defined structure whilst remaining slim, creating a straight, horizontal line. This construction gives the body structure and creates a V-shaped silhouette. The jacket features a ‘corded’ shoulder, which creates a more masculine and structured look, without being too boxy.

Milanese topstitching

Every seam on this jacket is finished with Milanese topstitching, a finishing technique that ensures the fabric retains its shape over time, even after seasons of heavy wear. The result is a jacket that remains smart and structured, without ever losing its shape at the points of stress.

The extended waistband

The 3 cm waistband with an extended fastening adapts to changes throughout the day without ever feeling restrictive. The PBS arrow-shaped adjustment tabs mean you can do without a belt and maintain a fluid silhouette whilst wearing it. The result: discreet comfort that you only notice when it’s missing.
