Situated in the historic heart of La Rochelle, the Blandin & Delloye showroom is the go-to destination for bespoke suits, shoes, shirts and coats for men and women.

You’ll find us just a stone’s throw from the Place des Halles, at 24 Rue de la Buffeterie, in an alleyway that’s as elegant as it is intriguing.

OUR BESPOKE SUIT BOUTIQUE IN LA ROCHELLE

The Blandin & Delloye showroom is housed in a historic building typical of La Rochelle’s traditional shopfronts.

Step inside to find a warm atmosphere created by the untreated wooden floorboards, enhanced by the deep green panelling. Touches of tartan on the walls reinforce the ‘English club’ style, which is later offset by the addition of more modern furniture, such as a round marble table with gilded legs.

The large black bookcase, in which our bundles of fabric are stored, adds depth and contrast, whilst orange corduroy chairs lend further warmth to the space, not to mention the numerous photographs that bring the walls to life.

The fitting area is delineated by an open partition, behind which stands an elegant beige sofa echoing the colours of the table. A huge gilded mirror dominates the space, situated close to a fitting room with green velvet curtains.

“My passion for beautiful clothing was passed on to me by the women in my family: a grandmother who was a seamstress and a mother who was passionate about leatherwork.

I grew up in haberdasheries, surrounded by fabrics, and as soon as I was old enough, I was able to learn the basics of textile design alongside my grandmother.

As I grew up, clothing became a genuine means of self-expression for me. I never missed a haute couture fashion show, and one silhouette in particular fascinated me: that of the structured suit.

It was through learning the techniques of tailored suit-making that I entered the world of tailoring. Every book, article or video was a new source of discovery for me and strengthened my interest in this very special world.

Today, I’m fortunate enough to turn this passion into my daily work by helping each client create an outfit that truly reflects who they are.

What touches me most is seeing their satisfaction when they finally wear the garment we’ve designed together.”
