Albini Blue Linen Shirt

Freshness blue

The blue linen shirt is a summer wardrobe staple. It combines the natural casualness of linen fibre with a versatile colour, equally at home with a light suit or white trousers.

By using a fabric from Albini, we're offering a piece that breathes, wicks away moisture and keeps you looking stylish all day long.

In a nutshell,

This model is made from 142g/m 100% Albini linen, offering a perfect balance between lightness and structure. It features a ‘one-piece’ collar for impeccable fit, supported by hand-crafted finishes such as mother-of-pearl buttons and a slim fit thanks to darts at the back.

The shirt as a whole

The one-piece collar

Also known as the “Cooper” or “Hollywood” collar, the one-piece collar is one of the most complex and admired collar constructions in shirtmaking. Unlike a classic shirt, the collar and throat are cut from a single piece of fabric, with no horizontal seam at the base of the collar.

Composition

This 142g/m fabric has a natural stretch that is rare for this fibre, making it more comfortable to move around in than traditional linen. It’s also a thermo-regulating fabric par excellence: it stays cool to the touch and dries very quickly, making it ideal for hot and humid climates.

The colour

This blue is an essential shade that immediately evokes the elegance of the seaside. It’s an extremely versatile colour that adds instant luminosity, whether worn under a dark suit or over white trousers.

Options

Collar and Throat

To complement the One-piece collar, we opted for a wide, non-stitched throat. This gives weight to the front of the shirt, stabilising the collar so that it stays straight. Despite the lightness of the linen, the collar is rigid, ensuring a clean silhouette in all circumstances.

Mother-of-pearl buttons

Their discreet shine and changing reflections complement the mattness of the linen. Mother-of-pearl buttons are far more durable than synthetic buttons, and look great too.

Angled cuffs

Angled cuffs add a modern touch that contrasts with the traditional look of linen. This clean cut emphasises the wrist and allows you to show off a watch with character, while recalling the care taken with each corner of the shirt.
