CSR at the heart of Blandin & Delloye's commitments

OUR CSR COMMITMENT : TAILOR-MADE, RESPONSIBLE FASHION

At Blandin & Delloye, we believe in elegant, sustainable fashion. Aware of today's environmental and social challenges, we have made Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) an integral part of our business. From design to production, every decision we take is aimed at reducing our footprint and offering made-to-measure clothing that respects the environment and people.

A WORD FROM OUR PARTNERS

As a committed player, we have initiated a responsible transition: choosing committed suppliers, improving internal practices and regularly assessing our impact. Our carbon footprint and eco-score illustrate our desire to be transparent and proactive in our environmental approach.

This approach marks a step forward for the made-to-measure suit industry. We are committed to continuing these efforts by placing people and ethics at the heart of our actions. More than a style, we want to accompany the modern gentleman in an elegance that reflects his values. A suit should reflect a commitment: that of a man who is aware of social and environmental issues.

OUR CSR APPROACH

Our CSR approach is based on a number of actions aimed at limiting our environmental impact while guaranteeing quality products. You will find more details on this page and on the other pages of the site dedicated to our CSR commitments.

  • On-demand production: no unnecessary stock, each part is manufactured only after it has been ordered, to avoid overproduction and waste.
  • Zero waste objective: optimisation of raw materials, recycling of fabric off-cuts, garment repairs, use of recycled polyester suit covers, etc.
  • Responsible materials: rigorous selection of sustainable and certified fabrics, such as responsible wool or organic cotton.
  • Transparency: clear communication about our manufacturing processes and our environmental commitments.
  • Quality & durability: garments designed to last, with a repair service and support in the maintenance of garments.

A COMPANY WITH STRONG VALUES

Since 2013, we have been revisiting the art of the traditional tailor while adapting it to modern expectations. Our fundamental principles:

  • A personalised welcome: each customer benefits from a unique experience.
  • Technical expertise: we value craftsmanship and excellence.
  • Conscious production: respectful of the environment and people.

Our model is based on customisation, with 96% of our products made to order. This approach limits waste and enhances the value of each piece. Our surpluses are recycled through partnerships, notably with La Cravate Solidaire.

Objective Zero Loss

Blandin & Delloye is actively committed to a zero-waste approach to limit its environmental impact. Since 2022, over 96% of our sales have been made to measure, reducing our wastage rate to less than 1%.

For these remaining items, we have put in place a recycling strategy: more than 2/3 are donated to La Cravate Solidaire, our partner for the past 10 years. We are also developing upcycling initiatives, reusing surplus fabric stocks, such as the 300 metres of wool recycled in 2024. Our actions are part of a circular economy aimed at extending the life of products and minimising waste.

Our concrete actions:

  • Recovering unsold goods: donations to La Cravate Solidaire.
  • Upcycling: reuse of surplus fabric stocks.
  • Responsible materials: suit covers in 100% recycled polyester, tote bags in recycled cotton.
  • Repairability of costumes: the possibility of re-making only certain parts to extend their life or of altering/repairing parts damaged while wearing them.
  • Product durability: high-quality fabrics to ensure maximum longevity.
  • Customer awareness: care tips to preserve your costumes over time.

RESPONSIBLE MATERIALS & REDUCING OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT

Our carbon footprint revealed that 67% of our emissions come from raw materials, mainly wool. To remedy this, we give preference to recycled fabrics or fabrics from responsible sources.

We also analyse our environmental and social impact through an annual CSR audit, guaranteeing continuous improvement in our practices.
