Holland & Sherry is a renowned British weaver based in Saville Row. Founded in 1936 by Stephen George Holland & Frederick Sherry, the company was already specialized in wool and silk draperies. As early as 1837, the crown placed its trust in the draper, which quickly earned the company prestige among the greatest tailors.
The company expanded throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, accelerating in the second half of the 20th century with the purchase of numerous companies in the wool industry. This was also the period when the company set up its headquarters on Savile Row, the epicenter of exceptional Tailorism (1982).
The inspiration for the collections is largely inherited from the British tradition: heavy fabrics first of all, with Tweed taking its name from the river Tweed located between Scotland and England. There’s also the “eccentric” side of the British, who proudly wear the Tartan, a check pattern, often in bright colors.
These fabrics still play an important role in Holland & Sherry fabric bunches. Here are some examples of our most popular bunches.
