Custom-made outfit March 2026

Spring BALANCE

March marks a turning point. Days lengthen, light changes, silhouettes lighten. The men's wardrobe is gradually moving away from the rigors of winter, and rediscovering nuance, texture and relief. At Blandin & Delloye, we've designed an outfit for this transition.

At the heart of this silhouette is a deep, nuanced vintage green Marzotto suit, awakened by the freshness of a sky-blue shirt and enriched by light overlays: a quilted Piacenza vest and a beige work jacket with artisanal accents. An outfit designed for the man, who navigates between professional appointments and freer moments, without ever compromising his elegance.

In a nutshell

This silhouette is built around a vintage green two-piece suit in Marzotto wool (250 g/m), both structured and breathable. It is accompanied by a light, textured Piacenza beige work jacket, ideal for the first days of spring, and a cashmere blue quilted cardigan for layering. A blue pinpoint shirt and hand-patinated loafers complete the ensemble, in a chic yet accessible spirit.

THE WORK JACKET, A FRENCH HERITAGE

WORK JACKET BEIGE PIACENZA

The French work jacket has its origins in the utilitarian jackets worn by farmers and agricultural workers in the 19th century. Designed to protect, support movement and last over time, this piece was distinguished by its straight cut, large patch pockets and simple fastening, designed above all for functionality. Over the decades, this work jacket left the fields and workshops to gradually become part of the civilian wardrobe.

Our version is made from Piacenza’s signature fabric, a blend of wool, silk and linen (180 g/m). Extremely lightweight, it offers a supple fit and great breathability, ideal when temperatures rise but mornings remain cool. Today, its straight cut, classic workwear collar and three patch pockets give it an authentic character, while its meticulous finishing touches such as intermediate brown urea buttons and limited sleeve lining guarantee comfort and lightness. Worn over a suit or separately, it structures the silhouette without stiffening it.

THE VINTAGE GREEN SUIT

MARZOTTO 2-PIECE SUIT

The centerpiece of the outfit, this two-piece suit is made from Marzotto’s signature 100% wool in 250 g/m. An ideal weight for mid-season: dense enough to retain hold, yet still comfortable when the temperature eases. Its vintage green color perfectly embodies the spirit of spring revival. Subtle and deep, it changes with the light, offering a refined alternative to traditional blue or gray.

The half-canvassed jacket features a 9 cm straight notch lapel and Neapolitan shoulders for a natural, supple and elegant line. Slightly rounded patch pockets reinforce the balance between formal and casual.

The slightly high-waisted pants feature an outward crease, an extended placket and asymmetrical side adjusters. The slanted Italian pockets and 4.5 cm lapel add modernity and structure to the silhouette.

INTELLIGENT LAYERING

PIACENZA CASHMERE BLUE QUILTED CARDIGAN

Because spring is a season of transition, layering becomes essential. This sleeveless cashmere Piacenza cardigan provides warmth and comfort without weighing down the silhouette. The fineness of the noble fiber, combined with precise horizontal quilting, ensures optimal warmth distribution while retaining remarkable lightness.

The even 7.5 cm spacing of the quilting creates a subtle graphic relief that structures the piece and gives it character. Black leather accents on the collar stand and pocket piping accentuate its contemporary aesthetic, while the zipped pockets and waterproof front closure are highly practical.

Versatile, it can be worn under a work jacket or over a vintage green suit, offering a more relaxed interpretation of tailoring while respecting the rigor and elegance of the main pieces of the outfit.
